HOW WE THINK:
We are a consortium of educators bound together for the purpose of teaching our children how to think and not what to think…building bright minds and strong spines in our children.
Our goal is to equip our children to build strong families and a great Nation. For them to fully understand that there is an Almighty Creator (God) who endows us with precious gifts and unalienable rights. We believe it is our responsibility to raise up our children in an understanding of these things so that we may be content in the fact that our purpose has been fulfilled.
When we open a mind to the perception of thought, using the Socratic method, the mind will search out answers to questions posed. It will not be apathetic but will exercise the ability to conjecture and formulate, as opposed to the mind that is subjugated to constraining information. Our members are dedicated to dissolving these bonds and actually teach the hows of thinking and not the whats. The hows are limitless but the whats are coiled up in agendas and motives.
We have heard the old phrase, “Children’s minds are like little sponges” however, a sponge will absorb but once full it must be wrung out to absorb more. We desire our children to be foundation stones, able to build, brick by brick a prosperous and meaningful future. Not only for them but for their children!
UNCOMMON TALENT
Every child has the potential to be brilliant, they just need brilliant minds to plant the seeds of knowledge and water with the passion to learn. Our goal is to gather as many of these minds together to raise the bar in our expectations of our children.
We are not concerned if you have teaching credentials, as a matter of fact, we’d rather you didn’t. What we are searching for are individuals who have a passion for learning, for knowledge, people who do not tire in thought to share with young people what they know. To impart the simplicity and joy of learning into a young, fertile mind…individuals who truly understand the disparity that is ebbing into the minds of our young people and who have a passion to stimulate roots where this erosion is washing away all intellect.
We are not quite sure how to implement this vision, except to first come together and discuss ideas on how to turn this project into a working, breathing database of knowledge. Your wisdom, experience, and expertise are what we looking for, and your desire to share this with young people who want to know is what we need.
